nicole dollanganger
i believe i first came across Nicole through the site 8tracks, though i forgot the actual playlist name and theme; i know it was her song "blue moon motel" that caught my attention. this super soft and almost adorable voice but the lyrics were romantic and almost daunting (BMM is one of her more tame songs.). i needed to hear more of her!
i've found that with each album she releases, there are songs and lyrics i can relate to, and i find myself listening to older songs and finding i relate to them. now most people probably don't want to relate to her music but well, shit happens. i'm just grateful there's someone out there that makes music for people like me.
however, i do have to limit myself when listening to her music, some of her songs (dog teeth, blood brothers,
valley of the dead & chapel) trigger my psychosis, not her fault of course!!

i think i read somewhere that nicole is the reason for the aesthetic "morute" and it's popularity, whether that is true or not, she definitely introduced me to it! my whole site is very much inspired by her image
